Allouez Village Band was formed in 1981 by Robert Seering, a well-known and popular band teacher and performer in the Green Bay area. What started out as a meeting of 12 local musicians at Bob's home has grown into a concert band with over 70 members performing monthly concerts at the Meyer Theatre in downtown Green Bay and many other events in the Greater Green Bay Area. Bob's successor, Mike Ajango, continues to carry on the traditions established over two decades ago. No admission fee is charged for concerts, all members of the band are volunteers, and the band is dependent on donations from businesses and individuals.
